The 2010 Wilbraham Tech Session
We are going to have the Wilbraham tech session again this year (#5 I believe) and have decided on October 23rd. We usually get 30 or more cars so this is a chance to meet a great group of 928 folks and see some interesting cars. I am looking for ideas on tech topics or repairs that attendees would like to see. A lift and any required tools will be available.
The 928 boat project will be there (or least all the parts of it will ) and I expect to have the new one pc f-glass dash and console ready also.
As always, we will have plenty of food and a warm fire. The event is free, just show up and have some fun! PM me if you need the address or info on local accommodations.
Thanks
Tass

Hey Tass,
I made it there last year and had a great time! Here's a suggestion: How about a tech session on the proper way to troubleshoot and repair a leaking rear hatch? I would even be willing to allow my car to be used. (purely from an educational standpoint mind you). I've done everything from the MM/pan gasket to removing the trans (twice) and a complete clutch job but I'll be damned if I can get that damn leak fixed!
Just a suggestion.
I'm going to try to make the trip again this year, with my car this time instead of a minivan.

Thanks for putting this on Tass! I am planning on being there.
I would be happy to do another detailing tech session if anyone is interested. I can also do a tech session on proper paint chip repair. Since it's a time consuming process I would limit the repair to two or three chips or scratches. Just let me know in advance so I can bring the right tools.
Also I happen to have a spare ball cup and transmission mounts waiting for installation. (just to stay ahead of the maintenance). Maybe someone who's done it before can do a "how to install" on the GT.

Hey Mike
It doesn't sound like that should be a tough leak to find ?? I have couple of rear hatch seals if you want to swap one out or take one with you. You are welcome to grab anything that would help from my parts car. It's entire hatch area is intact and weather tight.
I hope you can get here

The count is climbing !
One of these days Nicole !
ahhh yes, Friendlys. It just happens that my wife Florence is the corporate controller at Friendly and in the past has scored us ice cream for these events. She still laughs at the sight of us all sitting around a TV in the garage, eyes glued to some vintage 928 comercials and eating our ice cream. Gee....whats geeky about that??

How about selling me that callaway? The convertible might be on it's way to live in Daytona beach. We don't use it much up here and we need a car down there. But...everything is for sale

Always a great time up at Tass' place. Here are some pics from a previous year.
We need someone in the Owners Club to send out a mass email to all the local members.
Nicole: any time you want to fly out here for an event I will pick you up at the airport and you won't miss a thing.
