Default Tail light cover removal

Any tricks to getting these darn things off without cracking the cover? It's as if they were silconed Guess it's just the age of the seals..

Mine were stuck pretty tight as well. The bumper also seemed stuck to the lense assembly. I used a plastic trim pry bar to free the lense from the plastic bumper and then used a 90 deg pawl inside the screw holes to apply some outward pressure working from hole to hole til it popped loose.

Note to self!! Place a stack of soft material on the ground below the lense just in case it pops loose. Don't want to have it chip or shatter if it were to hit the ground. Don't ask me how I know

Holding your breath and swearing also helps.

note the lens pulls straight out to the rear of the car not at an angle

Thanks for the tips guys.

The rear side marker and tail-light on one side will not work. Neither side was working and I replaced fuse 40 & 41 and the right side started working. I worked fuse 40 in and out a few times to ensure good contact but still no luck. I'm trying to remove the cover to change the bulb, but the damn cover is really stuck on there and I'm trying not to crack it..
