There is no such thing as an automatic GT; that would simply be an S4. There are some beautiful GTS's out there right now on ebay, but not sure if any are auto boxes. There are planty of S4's however, in really good shape too.

Buy from Willhoit and drive happy! Simple as that...

The new dash with digital read out started in '89 and those cars did not have airbags, in '90 you get the same dash plus driver and passenger airbags. '93 are the GTS's and they run through '95, only 407 were imported to the US. They tend to be MUCH more expensive than S4's (about 2X or more, in comparable condition).

When you think you have found a car that fits his criteria, post here for advice on where to take it for a PPI.

Don't buy a 928 without a PPI, or you'll be setting yourself up for a screw job.

A proper and thorough PPI will reveal problems with a car and allow you to decide to buy or not, and help you make a fair offer if you decide to buy.

There is a low mileage GT (Guards Red) on Ebay. Looks pretty good, and priced under $29K. Looks like a good buy

Hmmmmm. $12,000 to $35,000 for good examples.

I think the point is, or he will find, the prices are all over the place. There is a super charged '86 on ebay for $26, Willhoit had a '91 higher and somewhere else there is a GTS under $20. You haven't said what the actual $$ range he is in. Your friend is going to have some fun filling a yellow pad with cars from autotrader, cars.com and ebay. Talking about "extras" is kind of pointless at this point. Good luck.

Note the Supercharged 86 is a salvage title for $26. Def. need to get that checked from *** to elbows.

Check the crank endplay even if it is a low mileage car.
