Default Seat memory board .. anyone have one to sell or have a pic?

The seat memory board on my 95 GTS has corroded tracks on the printed circuit. Part number on the top side plastic case is 928 618 134 02. Board with top and bottom plastic cover is about 10" X 4", and is under the drivers seat.

I have several options:

1. Buy a new one ... I am checking but suspect they are mega $$$$ .. anyone have a price?

2. Buy a good used one .... does anyone have one from a trashed seat I can buy?

3. I can re-solder the tracks to bridge breaks and/or solder in jumper wires to the missing sections, and hope the components on the board are OK .... does anyone have a photo of the printed circuit on the underside of the board, so I have the pattern of a good one to follow?

I've got one with part #928 618 134 00. It's from an '87. I don't know if it will work in your gts

Makes me wonder if these vary depending on position, left or right ... I see one site (http://www.jimellisporscheparts.com/...roduct=3725612) that shows both 92861813400 and 92861813401 numbers, but no mention of L or R.

No -3402 shown, is that an ROW number?

Thanks for the responses guys.
I just need to clarify what part number board I need.

Thanks ... I have the feeling the early 00 ones might not work on later cars ... but I'll get back to you once I figure it out.

00 seems to be only for S4's ??? and 01 for GTS??? .... but I can't imagine what the differences would be. There shouldn't be any difference between ROW and US with this part ... and there shouldn't be any difference between left and right .... but who knows. Maybe the 02 is the very last version?

I'll post the answers I dig up.

I just happened to have my memory control unit open when I saw this thread. I was resoldering the connector pins in the hope it would solve an intermittent problem (It did!)

In case you still need them, here are some pictures I took.

What timing!! ... Thanks for the pics Tom.
I suspect my board may be beyond redemption (the tracks are not a pretty sight), but I'm going to have a go at soldering in the next few days and see if I can raise it from the dead. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
If its a no go, as I think it will be, then I'll put in a used board ... it seems like Herman may have the correct board for my car.

Interesting that you have an 02 version and that number does not exist in the Porsche system.
Maybe that was the "ejector seat" version or the "vibrating cushion" version on Aussie imports only 8>)

01 was 89 to 95 according to PET.

Bump....

i have 928 618 134 00. In front of me on a used seat I’m putting back IN my 87 s4. My car did originally have memory seats and mirrors but I removed them and went to an aftermarket manual type seat.

bottom line is I missed the stock look and comfort, even though I am adding about 80 lbs back into the car by reinstalling a used set.

in have power to the harness in the car under the seat.

i have connected 12 v to all the motors and they work in all directions.

i have tested switch continuity from the switch back to the connection on the control board...all functions of the switches work up..down..fwd aft..etc etc.

when I apply 12v directly to the seat harness I have nada...no movement anywhere.

The common point where stuff doesn’t work leads to the memory unit.(part number above).

did any of you have any luck resoldering the board inside ?

also...I could give a hoot about memory seats. I’m the only one that drives it...but...i do want to adjust them obviously.

Has anyone bypassed this seat module and just gone power seats with out memory?

is it common for this part to fail and thus take all seat controllability with it? Seems if it failed you may loose one function or another but not all of them.

ideas...tips.

When you say "when I apply 12v directly to the seat harness I have nada...no movement anywhere." did you plug the seat into the car or just apply 12V and GND to the connector? If the latter I think that will not work.

Way back when I had my original seats I re-soldered my memory unit and found a few bad connections.

The boxes in the 2nd photo are the relay packs.

both...on the bench here and in the car.

With a glimmer of hope I pulled all the connections to the board. Lots of corrosion ....cleaned them all up.. Nothing.

i have power to plug 1 pin 30...so the harness is ok.

pretty certain it’s the board at this point.

Well if there is that much corrosion on the connectors it does not bode well for the board, it is not well protected from the elements, Fingers crossed re-soldering solves your problem.

This is what it looks like inside those relay packs, I had to clean the contacts, hope that is NOT your issue.

With the memory seats, the memory board powers the relays which in turn power the motors. Non-memory seat motors are powered straight from the switches, much simpler.

picture is worth a 1000 words . Thanks. May dive into that next.

Right now I’m in the process of making shims out of wooden Starbucks stir sticks and old plastic hotel room keys to take up the slop in the seat rail movement. So far so good.

so what are the chances that I can bypass this whole board and do as you have described ?
