Default Calgary '93 GTS

Probably no issue here, but . . . what's the deal with Canadian renewal? Ad says one owner. AutoCheck shows first renewal in 12/22/2000, then 1/31/01 (39 days later; then every couple years to present. One picture, practically no history other than "dealer maintained" but that could be verified I suppose.

Do any of you Alberta guys know this car?

I wish him luck, $40K is a very optimistic BIN price. That's Wilhoit's territory.

....and some people sell cars in spite of themselves!

This one however, not only has a sh!tty ad but is pretty optimistic. I like that! Must be a nice sailboat?

I am not sure about the current Ebay car but Carfax shows the Black on Black 93 GTS I owned from 1998-2000 in Toronto is also now in Calgary.

It's not listed on other sites, with a Calgary location. I've found four 928's for sale in the Calgary area on kijiji. I'm new to the forum and yet to meet other local owners, however will try and connect with the seller if he's agreeable.

I know quite a few 928 folks in Calgary but not this one.

Its listed as having 98k miles so its perhaps not CDN? or a typo.

Not a great ad for a $40k car IMHO

Most likely an out of province or out of country car if the first renewal is in 2000, or a mistake in the MTO database (it happens).

I am a buyer at HALF this guys asking price... black/black '93 or '95 my friends! Keep your eyes peeled for me... '93 interior needs to be decent, paint not so much, and they BOTH need to be mechanically sound. '95 can need paint and some interior work (like seats, steering wheel, floor mats, etc)... don't care about mileage but PRICE is an issue!

Adamant1971 I am digging your Avatar... PLEASE send her to TX so I can use her in my 928 Calendar next time around!!! YUMMY!

Mr. Morrison, what do you have up your sleeve? Perhaps if you can't buy the color state side, you're going to make one?

Looks like Riviera blue Chuck? I almost bought one out of Louisiana or Georgia in 1999. Didn't for excellent reasons. Bought Godzilla instead

The ad states dealer maintained. So if anyone is really interested, I will use my contacts and get some details from the dealer. Just let me know and I can do some digging.

Note that there also was a 93 GTS listed for sale in the local Porsche club (a few months back - also serviced by the local dealer) but this one appears to be different judging from the miles.

Cheers
Glenn
