Default Very nice local (Vallejo, CA) 91 S4 for sale

I know this car, although I have not done any work on it. The owner, from Napa, is at least temporarily transplanted to China. I have been helping him store the car. He has decided to sell. The ad is honest - I wrote it for him. I won't reveal the reserve at this point - actually I don't know it, but I suspect it's pretty high.

Nicole: I don't think so. I've never met the owner. He contacted me after he left for china seeking help getting the car moved from a rental house into storage. I helped take care of that about 10 months ago. I've been visiting it periodically. A few weeks ago I dusted it off and took it out to take the photos for the eBay listing. It is a very nice car that seems to have not suffered much from lack of use. Black metallic paint is very shiny but needs a buff to remove swirl marks and superficial spider webbing.

This car was for sale in Vegas back in 08 and discussed here,

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=16313

I was talking to the owner in Vegas and close to buying it when Low Miler (Todd) beat me to the punch and flipped it to the current owner. The Vegas owner did tell me that car was hit in a parking lot and repaired (pass side) so it has had some paint work in the past.

Do you remember where on pass side? I have only noticed a couple of superficial scratches. One on the pass side looks in the photos like it might have a very slight crease. I had a hard time seeing it and determining whether it was more than a clear coat scratch. Very hard to photograph as the car's black finish reflects the background so well that it's hard to sort out background reflections from the paint surface. It's hard to get the camera's autofocus to focus on the paint! I'll check for a repair next time I go up to see it. The current owner appears to have only had the car about 2-3 years and put only 1K miles on it. There is a good bundle of smog inspections that support the mileage claim and the car's condition supports it.

I don't think the damage was bad but a paint meter would show the panel that was repaired. I personally believe it is solid car and the higher odometer reading on carfax/autohcheck was an error.

I think the current owner may have bought this from Lowmiler, so he likely paid a good amount more than the 2008 Craigslist ad and is looking for more than that. If he were stateside, I would advise him to get some correct wheels and fix the few minor cosmetic issues if he wants top dollar. Still, it appears to me to be a very, very nice car. I drove it 14 miles - the most it's been driven in the last year - and I didn't notice any issues. Hi Tec gave it a thorough inspection 1000 miles ago and gave it a thumbs up.
