Oil pressure problem on speedo
My car is a 89 S4 manual, it usually show 3 bar when over 3000rpm(even 4000 rpm show 3 bar), and 1.5 bar when idle.
I had replace a new oil sender one half year ago, but thing don't change.
Today I had change two springs in oil sender, it did not change when I first start my car same 3 bar when over 3000rpm, and 1.5 bar when idle.
But one thing happen after I restart it , I press full throttle, than the needle stick in 5 bar and never back to 0 bar when power on.
Right now, when power on, the oil pressure needle only show 5 bar, no any number.
So where should check first? I really need you guys input.
Many thanks!

I think that's a sign of a loose connection at the sender or the connections are reversed (although I seem to remeber the connector is keyed so it only fits one way). Anyway, check if the connections on the oil sender are clean and tight.

Hi Aryan
I will check that tomorrow. But I believe the connect should be one way only. Because first start is normal, second time with full throttle make trouble.
Many thanks!

Go back to your last task (or two) and see if you have some connection problems or a bad sender. As for the other oil problems, you may want to verify gauge readings with a mechanical gauge to see what your oil pressures are at different temperatures and RPM.
