Good alternative to those old-fashioned knucklebuster worm-drive clamps?

Tom,

Very interesting, maybe an alternative for transmission cooling lines rebuilding? (see my hose clamp on tranny line thread)

The shrink clamps may get some use, but I think best application is OEM assembly not end user. Cut to remove, then replace can be inconvenient unless you keep an assortment in the car all the time.

OTOH I could see using them to make an install look pretty.
