Default Which GT shall it be?

I started searching a year ago but I'm getting tired. I looked at 5 Gts and didn't pull the trigger. Then racing season started and poof there went the money. I know patience is a virtue but I need your help again to find the right GT. I've looked at the dealer cars available and feel they have issues with lack of records or damage , significant paint work and dealer premiums. I would really like to find a GT owned by a Rennlister with known and documented history, without too many stories in vg to excellent condition and maintenance up to date. No rust of course. This GT will be driven not a show car. Not too picky on the color but prefer red or white with camel or black interior. An 89 is preferred but not required. I would love any of them. I am serious and have year end bonus $ in hand. Will pay going rate as discussed on this forum. Please let me know if you have an 89-91 GT and may be willing to sell. I am a lifetime Porsche enthusiast who appreciates these cars. Thanks.

see post #24 in that thread. The car at issue, a very nice GT (Marine Blue's GT, now owned by someone else) as of 12/5 was thought to be available.

I've got a red one I would sell, but it may have to many issues for you. I've had it a while, but haven't driven it since 2008. PM me if you want info on it.

Most definetly agree! Afshin aka Marine Blue, took outstanding care of that car when he owned it and I believe won many a concour with it.
If that one isn't available you might want to check over at the 928 Owners Club website. The president Stan Shaw has a GT for sale there.I have never seen it but I know he has had alot of the big maintenance done on it.

Thanks for the scoop.I had already pm'd Afshin as I knew about this one. Will see if the current owner is interested. I'll look into the others as well. Thanks and keep the skinny coming.

I've been seeing this one in the California Bay Area CL posted for a while. Not sure if you've seen this one yet. No affiliation.

There is also one in Portland that is Red/Black which is a 91 GT as well.
Hope this helps,
Ather

Default Which GT will it be?

Thanks. I've considered both of these. I had a PPI done on the Red Portland car after reading here its auction history. Its a 7 or 7.5 and needs 5k of maintenance. Dealer wants to do some of the maintenance himself. I'm just not comfortable with a dealer doing the WP/TB and front engine seal job. The grey car may have had accident damage as the front end has been painted and not in my top 4 colors.

Stan Shaw posted a note regarding his on the 928oc site.
Has miles but ought to be very, very well sorted.
