South Dakota mystery car down to $10K
Here's the oft-discussed vandalized '94 GTS once again on Craigslist ... seller is gradually getting closer to it's real value?

This car is rough. I contacted the seller for more photographs. Busted rear quarter window, interior has been exposed to the elements, trim rotting, weatherstripping sagging, keyed paint, cracked dash, you name it.
For $10k I would buy a sorted S4.

Just occurred to me... if anyone is interested in seeing the photos, I'd be happy to post. For some reason Flickr keeps puking when I try to upload. If someone else is willing to host, let me know and I'll send them to you.
Cheers.

I have never seen anyone post for sure that it was a flood car, but from the first pic I saw of it I felt like that must be the deal. There was never enough body work to need a CoD for a wreck. I mean sure you can total a 928 (even a GTS) pretty quickly in a wreck, but knowledgeable people can put that back together for the most part w/o to much difficulty. OTOH flood cars ALWAYS get CoD because the Govt wants them OFF THE STREETS! Mostly because they have so many long term problems due to corrosion and the follow on buyers get screwed...
Anyway, this car has always been interesting hasn't it?!

I think it had been in FL and got caught in a Hurricane actually... But I could be wrong. I was under the impression that it had gone to ND to try and scrub the title...

I think the story goes that the car was regularly shipped back and forth between NY and FL (the original owner had two homes), and on the last one of those trips it was vandalized (the broken window and keyed paint, etc.)
How it came to be in the barn (or worse, sitting outside) in South Dakota is the part I never understood ...
