Ok, I spoke to someone at Garage Equipment Supply regarding their group buy that ran today. It was for $1,800 instead of the regular price of $2,249. I want to get my garage a bit more in order first or I would have bought one today. They did offer to extend it to tomorrow for me. I asked them about a minimum order for another group buy. They said they would call me back tomorrow after they figured that out. I told them it might be a couple of months out as we generated interest, if that was needed.

So, question is:
Who would think they would want to be in the group buy if we put one together in the next couple of months??

No specific time frame, but I would like to see it happen within 2-4 months, certainly before the start of summer. I know that on two recent threads I saw multiple people(myself included), post that they had an interest in one. We just need to show to GES in the way of a preliminary show of hands that we are serious.

Yeah, I saw on the 993 Forum in a thread about the current GES sale that they had sold 16 today alone. So I'm thinking maybe I should take them up on their offer to extend that price to me tomorrow. Maybe it will motivate me to make things happen sooner so it's not sitting around in a box too long.

If it doesn't happen for several months, I would be interested. I wanted to pull the trigger now but just can't swing the cost today.

yeah I had to back off yesterday due to negotiations at work breaking down, so strong interest a month or two down the road once things have settled.

I thought Dannmar does not sell direct to consumers? Their web site says:
"How much does it cost? We do not sell direct, but this unit usually starts at around $2199. Click here for a list of authorized dealers."

Is this contact with Garage Equipment Supply perhaps?

I haven't spoken back to GES today yet, but if Herman's contact person says five are needed for a group buy, I count five of us here right now. I will call the guy back at GES in a little while & see what they say. Whether this is the same company as Herman's contact or not, we'll try to get some specifics today.

Yes, GES and Danmar is the same tell Gabriel I send you and he'll take care of you.

When we did the group buy some guys came in a week or so later and they still supplied them as well.

Currently Gabriel is the guy to talk to for sales and any warranty issues.

Ok then, if I do hold off today from going with their offer to me yesterday to extend the $1800 through today, we better still have five people when we say go in a couple of months. Right guys???

As of now, I have the wife's blessing to go on this & who knows what she might feel about it in a couple months!
