Default Nevada Open Road Challenge (NORC) next week

The Nevada Open Road Challenge ORR is next week. Bill and I have been getting
ready to run the car in the 160 mph avg class. I was wondering if anyone else was
going to show up?

Bill (on the Sharktuner) and my car at the dyno today:

Not ideal conditions in Concord for a dyno session:

Anyway, hope to see some fellow 928 owners out in Ely, Nevada next week.

Thanks John and Tony.

Tony,

At the dyno we mostly did fixed resistance tuning. It was a Mustang dyno and they set
a fixed load while I increased the rpm slowly and hesitated at 500 rpm increments while
Bill watched and adjusted the fuel map. We did this until the water temps went into the red.
We did a couple of regular runs at the end to see if the WOT response was still good, but
didn't get any hp numbers.

It's going to be a good one George - sounds like you've put in a lot of prep time.
Here's to a fast, safe run.

So would I. I plan on having 3 video cameras in the car, hopefully I'll get some
decent footage.
