Default Airconditioner Tracer Dye Clean-Up

What's the best way to clean this stuff up? I've found my leak, or at least the general area it's coming from, but there's so much dye in the area, I can't tell where it's originating from.

It looks like it's spraying out from the expansion valve on the rear evaporator, but before I just replace the "O" rings and clean up, I'd like to be sure it's not anything else.....

I don't have a respirator, and the stuff is everywhere......
Guess I could always use scuba gear and hope one walks in while I'm at it....

Just because its non flamable, doesn't mean you can breath it in.

Yup, unless it's clogged. Pour some water in there and check under the car before you do anything else. At least water won't stink up the car.

Still cleaning...I now can confirm that neither Simple Green nor Evaporator Cleaner (Boomerang) has any noticeable effect without scubbing and wiping down...crap.
Tomorrow, the brake cleaner.......
Also, I read on a thread recently that the "O" rings should be "lubed" before assembly....can't find the thread either....what is supposed to be used?

use a sniffer to find the ac leak. it's more effective than those dyes.

i thought dyes are only visible under black lights

Love to use a sniffer, but I don't have one....
Blacklight I've got, and apparently way more dye than I need.

I lubricate the O-rings using the same oil that I put in the AC system - mineral for R-12, POE for R-134a retrofits, PAG for a factory R-134a system.
