Default New Car Club

I was reading Here that there was mention of Maybe a new 'car club' on one of the threads. We had this discussion in Canada a couple of years ago and this is some good starting points that the 928 group might use as a springboard:

Evidently, we need a democratic election. I suggest clear rules:

- Members can vote by fax, mail, email, or smoke signal, but only once in each medium, not including practice votes.

- Votes will not be accepted in Latin or Sanskrit.

- However, an alternative voting scheme is obviously desirable, so I suggest the Myanmar voting procedures be written into the rules.

(1) Top Position:

HIGH CHAIR

(2) Concours position:

LAWN CHAIR

(3) Hybrid matters:

ELECTRIC CHAIR

(4) Quebec Coverage:

CHAISE LANGUE

(5) Fun runs:

EASY CHAIR

(6) Social events

BISTRO CHAIR

These are just a few suggestions for our group. We also need Club Chairs and Deckchairs, and an appropriate title for our track day leadership!

Your input is vital to the future, any suggestions for occupants of the above important roles, plus any additional titles will be welcome. Naturally, all suggestions may be immediately rejected.

What about Wingdings?

OR all votes/member correspondence could be coded, and each member would have to have a secret decoder ring? The rings could be treated like "challenge coins" in the military. You don't have your ring at a meet, you buys drinks for EVERYONE.

I would like to table a bill stating categorically that we limit the number of chairs, and that furthermore consideration for the inclusion of more chairs be only discussed at a full and frank round-table discussion.

Cheers,

Adrian

No elections. Every year we get a bunch of people in a room and play musical chairs. When the game is over the one that's left is the president.
