I haven't formed any of these for quite a while. I had planned to do so in the recent past, but have found or confirmed a small issue with them. I had previously heard from two or three users of these that one of the strips was lost either at speed or in the rain or both. Then coming back form ST19 in my 82 one of mine blew out at about 95 mph. The other one was/is in pretty tight and stayed in place; and it still is. I still have a few that can make up about 2 pair, but I hope to figure out why they wont stay in place. I think it has to do with the difference in air pressure at speed from over the WS at low pressure to higher pressure under the strips, and in combination with the kind of double barb nature of them the way I have formed them.

I am now intrigued by one of the later posts in this thread about how one guy re-trimmed one of the flanges on the strips and then they kind of "pleasingly snapped" into place. I need to investigate if that is something I might do with these. l have had s few users run into the problem when their WS has been replaced and it was not done artfully. That is when too much urathane is used to glue the WS in place and then it stays out too far from the WS frame. In those cases the strips will usually not fit.

I'll sell you one of these last two pair if you want to give them a try. $50 shipped. Paypal to me at jfeather@bresnan.net

Thanks for the reply and honesty. I'll pass on the buy at this time but will keep an eye on any redesigns you may make.
