Update: Dan the Pod Guy
We are sorry to announce that Dan the Pod Guy passed away on August the 30th, after a two year battle with cancer. It has taken us, the family, a couple of weeks to sort out all the loose ends and update those who were close to Dan. I will be taking over my Dad’s account, my name is Joseph. In the next few weeks, and over the course of about a year I will be liquidating my Dad’s collection of 928’s and parts. Right now, I am selling a 1986 Porsche 928 custom convertible. If there are any parts you are looking for please let me know in this thread or by PM, and I will track them down. I have most parts from all cars built from before 1986, as well as a few parts from an S4. To see my Dad’s listing for the ’86 928c visit: http://www.kondratyev.com/porsche/pr...onvertible.htm
Thank you for your concerns and offers of help. This community meant a lot to Dan.

Hi Joseph,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Your father was a very nice man and passionate about 928s. I hope he is at peace.
I am sure this community will certainly do our best to help you out as you go through his 928-related items. Please do not hesitate to ask/post questions if you are unsure of anything.

Sorry for your loss. I had very limited contact with dan on the forum, but he was one of the first to offer help in the form of parts needed when i was dead in the water. Great guy from my experience. I hope the best for you and your family in this hard time. He will be remembered, fondly.
Jonathan.

Joseph, your father was the original OB-wan. I've respected him for many years.
My heart goes out to you and your family.
We are all sadened by his passing, and will offer condolences here. You may need to start a different parts FS thread.
Again, so sorry for your loss.

Even though I have never met your father I have enjoyed reading his posts and the knowledge that he freely shared with those on this forum. May your father rest in peace. Joe

I'm very sorry to hear that. Thanks Joseph for taking the time to come post here and let us know.
Your Dad has posted a lot of valuable information over the years and given a lot to the 928 community. There are people around the globe who will be having a quiet moment of reflection and giving thanks for his quiet contributions.

joseph,
my sincerest condolences go out to you your family.
I lost my father two years ago, and my mother two years before that... both to cancer.
I know first hand what you are experiencing. Rember the good times, laugh as much as you can.. tell funny stories about him.. it helped me get relief from the crying and feelings of loss..
these feelings will transform into a beautiful memory of your dad as time passes....
again, i hope your grief passes quickly
