cam gear re-coat?
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if my cam gear
is a candidate for re-coating? This is the DS gear, the
PS is pretty much identical.

I dunno, I think I'll stick my neck out and say that I'd bolt those back onto the cams as-is, and forget about them for another 40 K miles.

I'll third that. Picture quality notwithstanding, I can't see any shiny spots where the coating's worn through, so they still look serviceable to me.

Let me try this again.
They are shiny, but no metal showing.
In the process of doing Tb/WP, and all the WYAI,s.
Don't want to be back in there for a while if I don't have to.

The only thing you need to do is put them back on the car. Check again in 40K miles.

Yup reuse or you could re-coat with a harder coating.
Your call.
I recoat almost all of them I see before they start showing metal so I get the best tooth possible.
