Default Daytime Running Lights (DRL) LED Modification?

I'm considering something like this for the GTS -

http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls46...al-thread.html

The DRL strips hould fit into the slats on the front spoiler and update the look of the car.

Anyone done something similar to their 928?

There were some threads on this. IMHO it looks ricey because they don't fit the rest of the car, plus the lighting is much colder than the other lights.

Randy.......DRL is madatory here in Canada and my GTS came factory equipped.

The fog lights are wired/fused and relayed to operate on engine start; the tailights and headlights operate as before through the main headlight switch.

let me know if you require details.

Randy,
I added LED running lights to my car. I considered the DLR relay but decided against it.

I looked at where to put them and decided that the slats were too low for them to have much affect visibility wise. I put strips along the top of my fog / aux lights. I used lights that were fairly amber in tone to reduce the ricey look and keep in better (IMO) with the car.
My car is 'road surface' grey (pebble grey) and blends into the road quite well from a distance. I was prepared to trade a little ricey look for visibility. The lights are easy to remove to restore originality (a lot easier than the front of the car from a head on).

I disagree with the "ricey" opinions. These LEDs became widespread on the German machines well ahead of other regions. Their use is propogated amongst curvaceous styling (like the Panamera) as well as angular designs. I do agree that the "color tone" is important to maintain the aesthetics.

Its ricey if the lights dont fit the lines...it would be very hard to match the 928 flow with something that stands out like that...IMHO.

The 928 has no angular or curvacious lines to place them.

I'll look Randy but the garage is not heated and it hasnt been above -20c for days.

Lights that operate with DRL relay are the fogs and display...........not the side markers or tails.

The relay in position #3 is NOT a 53 type and is umarked on side facing out. It is purple in colour if that means anything.

Bertrand, is that a Bosch part #?
