Exclamation Constant Buzz from Center Console

On my 88-928S4 There is a constant Buzz coming from the Center Console that I Can not figure out. IT is not the regular buzzer for Key and seat belt. I've read to where it could be the Cat Reset module but I can not see it and when I move wires around (side covers off) especially the A/C selenoid ones, sometimes the tone changes pitch and few occasions went away (do not know if coeincident or what).
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Mike

maybe the seat belt warning relay remove both side covers on the console and use your finger to find the vibrating part

My son had this exact issue on the 85. I handed him a fuse chart and a box of fuses and told him to figure it out.
20 minutes later he had a huge grin on his face and a sense of accomplishment.
Not sure which one he replaced but the noise has not come back.

could be the set belt buzzer fuse being bad.. causing a feed back due to bad wiring...

I had this, drove me crazy. It was not in the consol at all-it was a faulty non-return valve in a vacuum line in the engine compartment, just ahead of the firewall at intake level. It's a short plastic cylinder, less than an inch in diameter. Mine was black and blue. Put your finger on it, if you can feel it buzzing that's your problem.

If the little black/blue check valve by the brake booster is buzzing, you have leaks in the HVAC actuators. There should be no continual flow thru the system, and continual flow often causes the buzz.

Temp sensor in console? Has a liittle motor inside that can buzz. Happened to me. Unfortunately, you cannot remove this with any ease without removing the console. Just a thought anyway.

+1 I think it's the interior temp sensor.

I had a similar problem with my 88. It was the door open/close buzzer. Take the carpet cover on the side of the console (drivers side) and you will see a big black relay close to behind the ash tray. Take it out and see if the sound goes away. I bet that's what it is.... The carpet cover has 2 or 3 Phillips head screws that holds it to the side of the center console.
The buzzing intensity in mine would also change with rpm, not sure if yours does that. A new relay is about 100 bucks, I would leave it out.

Remove the fuse for the HVAC (#6 on an '88) and see if it stops - if so its a solenoid or a vacuum leak @ the actuator - check the vacuum manifold.

Ha! I've got the same problem.

Alan, do you know what fuse it is on my '90 S4?
