Turns out it's not 30-06. It's 30 cal. Here's a pic. 600 rounds. 2.50 each.

Cedar Rapids Iowa, Home of Masters champion Zach Johnson. I played with Zach when he was in college and his TV personality is not a act. He is just that good of a guy. I may be interested in the Cup's. What size and condition?

Yep. I let James Morrison know. I'll see if he posted something.

16s. Once I have the new wheels on, I'll take some pics, but they are in pretty good condition - no curb rash or anything to that effect. I'll also need to verify that they are real Cup Is and not replicas.

Some of the 30 cal rounds will chamber in my pop gun and some won't. Mistakes are -- costly.

I might be interested in all of those rounds but I'd wonder if you would have one round taken out and get the headspace gauged. I would like to know the exact dimension of the headspace of the round. Also, any printing on the base of the cartridge would be useful.

I have no idea what that means.

It means the ammo was made at Lake City ammo station. The lot number at the bottom identifies it somewhat. I don't think I'll try it. Lots prior to 13700 may contain corrosive primers, which I won't mess with. Added to that, they are tracers, which can't be tumbled, but must go through a hand wash prior to use, and it's just more hassle than it's worth.
Back to your regularly scheduled programming. For anyone wanting to use this ammo, be careful.

I have a 928 Diagnostic tool set to be at the gathering for anyone who wants to check their car. I plan on doing a PSD flush there so we can see how this is done. Mine was done 5 years ago so it seems like it is time to do it again.
I have also reached out to local Porsche owners in the area to join us. One owner has a custom built 911 turbo that is I believe a 1973 RSR replica but updated with modern engine. He did a tech session recently for our local group on this car. It is an amazing machine and it will be there barring any technical problems.
Also, what would you guys like to do for the GTG. I have never done one or been to one so suggestions would be great.

Jeff,
The diagnostic tool and a session on how to do a PSD system flush sounds good. And seeing other Porsche cars also would also be interesting. I'm sure you will get more suggestions.

As much as I would like to, I can't make this event, but wondered about the title, "Sharks in the Mississippi." Shouldn't it either be "Sharks in Mississippi" or "Sharks on the Mississippi"?
