Default 336k mile 928 for sale on ebay

Ok, I've never seen one with this high mileage and still looking fairly good for the amount of miles.

I'm not a car expert but I know there aren't too many high end cars made that will last this long...amazing. Porsche...there is no substitute.

Oh come on, I'm sure a 1986 Lamborghini Countach would last that long. Oops, I missed the 'k' in your post.

And, it was only driven for two years! The question and answer at the end is humorous:

Q: 336K?? How did the vehicle get 180K miles per year? In 2 years. That is 60 mph for 8 hours every day.
A: Hi audiophile, I work for an eccentric multi-millionaire whose memory may not be that accurate. I apologize for any confusion. That said, the car is in very good condition. Dan

Wow,
The sun is not kind to guards red. I guess being driven 8 hours per day; there's little garage time?

I like how it says "has ONLY 336,753 miles"

It does look remarkably good for that mileage. You can't see the driver's seat bolster, but what you can see of the seat even looks very good.

I'm with Imo. The full vehicle report shows that it had 241 miles in 1994 and was last registered in 2002.

I think this car has 36K miles.

That can be fixed!

I could clean up that Guards Red with my DA Orbital in a few days.

I see two things that don't agree with the high miles but do agree with very low miles....

- The only pic of the drivers seat show it in pretty decent shape (it should be close to shredded with 300k+ miles)
- The intake paint looks original and is not flaking

I'm thinking this is a very low mile car too.

There isn't anything on this car that screams low miles to me. We've got a guy here with three that have more miles and in better shape than this one. Miles are not everything, it's how it is taken care of.

This

We've all seen those proven 'low mile' cars that have a completely trashed interior or whatnot. If the car is properly maintained throughout most of its life, why couldn't it look like this with that many miles?

How do you "care for" intake paint? with S3's and S4's, the severity of the flaking of the intake paint usually correlates with the miles driven in my experience (heat cycles I guess).

The 59k mile engine I bought for my 89 had no flaking at all, but the 88 I looked at last week with 140k plus miles, had almost no paint left. I've seen it over and over, but I'm sure there are exceptions. With this car, no way to tell from the pics if the intake paint is original, but it looks about the right color to be original.

Can't really see the seats very well, so just guessing there.

I love it... I work for an eccentric MULTI-MILLIONAIRE... his name is Charlie Sheen Who obviously put it over a curb to boot - front chin spoiler is broken. If this was owned by a millionaire I'd hope it would've been stored in at least a garage (if not climate controlled)... the paint has been in the sun... a lot. Doesn't pass the smell test with 36K or 336K... buyer beware.

Here's another way to look at those miles. The car is 27 years old. If it was a daily driver the entire time then it averaged 12,472 miles per year. That's curiously close to the average miles per year in the US.
