Completely insane price for what it is, but $40 is about half of what they are new.

Quite handy for disconnecting/reconnecting the ISV connector in situ.....

How does it work? Does it have some magic way to release the spring clip? Do you have any close-up pic's of this thing in action?

I'm able to reach in there once the MAF is out and can unplug/plug back in. Though, admittedly, it is a real PITA

I got so pissed off with this I took the spring clip out and figured if it came off I would soon know about it and would simply push it back on. So far it has not come off and idle still works OK but I dare say it will drop off sooner or later..

As to how Colin can get that thing off in stock form without a special tool all I can say is "Better man than I Gunga Din!". It is difficult enough to get it back on in stock form never mind off.

I did purchase a mae and female connector from roger with a view to making an extension wherein you could get access to undo the extended connector located outside the manifold.

So much for German design- mostly Brilliant and utterly stupid at times.

Regards

Fred

Jim- AFAICT there's no magic on releasing the spring clip, the rectangular portion of the tool clamps over the body and 'shoulders' of the connector, between the connector and the boot. Gives plenty of straight-line grip to wiggle the connector off.

Will load a connector up in mine tonight and take a pic.

I wear size 8-1/2 gloves in the hospital, ain't no way I can get my hands on the ISV in situ.

I simply added a foot of extra wire on mine so I can easily remove the intake.

Yeah, the Americans use a Fisher Space Pen, the Russians use a pencil.

This is perfect for those connectors that have a bunch of room for a few feet of tool handle in a straight line of the removal direction!

Like the ISV! Also very handy on fuel injector connectors that have been connected for 20 years, once you get the wire retainer off.
