Default V12 6spd 928

Now that Tony77 has 575 hp and a 6 speed, My little 4.5 S/C 6 spd seemed a little weak. So I Picked up a 5.0 Toyota V12 today to replace the 4.5 SC motor. Can you say SMOOOOOTH. Maybe a couple turbos or one big SC. Not sure yet. GOAL is More power, Beat Tony77. WEEE HAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That must be the Century engine -- did you arrange to import it or was it already stateside? If so, why was it brought in originally??

Huh, 1GZ-FE, didn't realize that such a thing existed. Oil pan's in the right place, but it looks a little tall. Nothing that a good shaker hood can't cure.

3 ECU's? That's 50% more brains than a 928...

Seeing that it has 4 Xtra cylinders tacked on to a 1uz of which has already been grafted into a 944 bay, that will still fit in the 928. I'll come out of retirement to help on this project. Don't egg Dinsdale on @ ITB's. I'm rooting for an SC v12....6speed no doubt.

Custom ground cams or just going F/I with what's in there?

THis will be interesting, the extra cylinders promise greater potential output than similar displacement V8, but still starting out with 5L... or is bumping up the stroke or bore part of the plan as well?

I'm especially looking forward to pics of custom headers...(evil laugh backatcha!) ;-)

Had no idea this motor existed...

Just out of curiosity (begging for the because I can or the because racecar response) why would you not do a 2JZ with a big turbo? Seems like those engine are king if high HP is the goal...

It's the challenge. Plus " Who doesn't love a V12? ". I cant stop myself and those around me keep egging me on. [ wife excepted, " She is livid ", Still mumbling about Italian Leather furniture and " when will this ever stop " ] On a positive note. I didn't sleep on the couch last night! It's a V12! With a 6 speed! WTF. You would if you could. I know you would! You would. I gotta go wait for the freight truck.
