I've been offered a job in Memphis TN and am wondering about the 928 enthusiast and mechanical support in this city. I will be leaving Wichita ( Mark White, Mo Zahr) which has been instrumental in loving and driving a series of 928's. Thanks in advance, Rodney Handsfield, MD.

I'm in Nashville. I gotta tell you that we have an extremely small 928 community in Tenn, lol. Luckily, we have a great indy Porsche mechanic here in Nashville, Wicky Lawrie who knows the 928. He originally worked at Brumos Porsche in Florida before starting his own shop here in town called Renntag Motorwerks. I'm not sure who's available in Memphis, hopefully someone will respond. I'm fairly certain there is an indy repair shop there and a PCA region.

Best wishes if you decide on Memphis, only ever seen 1 928 in the area, it was at a wheel/tire shop just north of town. I have seen alot of "24 wheels though.

I'm in Memphis. The one shop I'm very familiar with, Memphis Motor Werks, no longer has a Porsche specialist. He started his own shop in Olive Branch, Ms. It right across the state line. Almost a suburb of Memphis. Not sure of the name. I've been lucky enough to keep my 87 with 116k on it running with the excellent guidance here. Wiki did the PPI on a 996 I sold a couple of years ago. Excellent mechanic & even better person.

There is another shop on Central Ave (? Name). The mechanic seems knowledgeable. Spoke to him prior to getting into the tank and he didn't have great things to say about the Shark. I haven't taken my car to him. He did have a GTS I. His shop to repair back then. Other than. Mine, I've seen about 3 here in Memphis.

Come on to Memphis. We need more sharks in the water here.
