A few Wild Rose PCA members met up to drive up to the Sharks on Ice even this morning to check out the 928s. Took a few photos.

Today we started where we left off last night in the parking lot.
20 cars from the local PCA club came drove out to visit and see the Sharks who were all suitably Impressed especially when the 600hp beast barked through the still mountain air.
We then drove over the Highwood Pass 7300 ft then onto the Boundary Ranch for hay rides, steak lunch, car judging and awards.
More to come with pics.

So....after all is done and everyone is nearly gone (everyone but Malcomb), I get back to the hotel and sure enough, a weird noise from under the hood.. Can't figure it out until the engine cools off. Alternator is making odd noises. Sounded like bearings or a rock in there or something.
With Malcomb's help, I drop the alternator and sure enough the pulley is coming loose and there's no way to tighten it with the sparse tools we have here. Malcomb was kind enough to offer up his 88's alt so we pull that one and mount it on my car (all using that wonderful tool kit Porsche provided every 928 owner ). Took a couple of hours but I'm good to go to head back home tomorrow am as planned.
Thanks again Malcomb for hosting a great event and all the assistance tonight with the alternator "swap"....

Advanced
What an awesome weekend. Spectacular runs, scenery and weather and of course, new friends.
I got to meet some great 928ers and my utmost respect for those that came long distances to have a beer with us!
Thanks again Colin for putting on tech demonstration #3 on my car - How to diagnose and fix your crankshaft position sensor in hotel parking lot!
Thanks again Malcolm.
