So, is that the stage 1 pulley? Are you gping to start there and work you way up? What's the plan?

Ho Bob,
I am sure my pictures bring back memories for you. Actually this is the Stage II pulley. I am waiting for the intercooler. I am interested in boost coming on a little earlier, so I am using a 2.87" pulley, and may go to a 2.75" later. If I find myself hitting redline, which I never really do in my automatic, then I can consider a pressure relief valve.
These are just pipe dreams, and I will have to see how the tuning goes, once I wrap up the install. Who Knows?
Thanks,
Dave

Dave your going to find that any pulley under 3" will have belt slip at high RPM. Look at my thread about coated pulley or Carl's Surgrip.
Miss my old Powerdyne, Finally fixed the Vortech oil leaks.

Thanks, Tony. I would definitely go with Surgrip on my next pulley.

Time for an update. I got my SC pulley and head unit installed today. The pulley is indeed a work of art. The SC head unit mounts up to the old viscous fan mount, and is braced off of the front engine lifting point. When it is torqued down, it is very, very solid. I could easily push the car by its supercharger. But I won't The BOV is mounted to the SC outlet piping. Next I will reinstall accessory belts, radiator, fans, etc. Still waiting on the intercooler, so I will work on gauges and other details in meantime.
Thanks for watching,
Dave
Just a note. With the BOV located in the stock position, It is almost impossible to reach the oil dipstick. Watch that sharp 90 corner at the eadge of the mount bracket, its a hand killer. If the engine is hot, good luck with that . OUCH !

Thanks, Kevin. It's always great to hear from someone who's BTDT.

Hi again,
I finished mounting and hooking up my Boost and WB2 AFR gauges. I wanted them out of the way, but still somewhat visible, obviously a contradiction. I have plenty of cable length so I can move them, but I'll try this for a while.
Happy Easter,
Dave

They look fine, but can you see them while you are driving?
Seems like a tough spot to see while you are accelerating as fast as you can.

Agreed, Bob. Some guys mount them on either side of the clock, which is a similar height. I thought is was OK for occasional reference, while tuning and adjusting. It is movable. What position do you advise?
Thanks,
Dave

Well, Dave, don't take my advice there. I have A-pillar digital gauges. I want to know what is happening and I want to drive really fast.
They look ricey, admittedly, but they couldn't be much easier to read.

EDIT: I knew that I wanted to mount them that way because of a ride I took in camboinc's MURF blown car. It was wicked fast, and he asked me to watch the gauges for him. His are/were mounted by the lighter, and he couldn't really drive and keep an eye on them.
I'm not saying it isn't a nice location, it certainly looks cleaner than what I have, but I think the main reason to have gauges, is to read them.

Funny, Bob. I bought the A-pillar mount, and still have it. I just can't quite put up with the ricer look. If I find it is for a really good reason, then I'll just do it. Like I said, I left the gauge cables long, just in case.
Thanks,
Dave
