Again, I can't thank everyone enough that was at Sean's the day it was delivered. Everyone really jumped in, did a check on the car to see what we had and then helped correct several items on the spot.
I've been on the road for work the last few weeks and am finally getting a chance to do some work on the car again. Trying to get through all of the minor items so I can make the annual DFW 928 meet up at Cars and Coffee Dallas next month.
Got the car on the lift for the first time this afternoon. Wide body really means wide body. Tires hang over just a bit on both sides compared to the 89 S4 . Time to replace the exhaust collector gaskets and start tracking down the battery drain issue.
Sean R., the list is going to get longer by the time you get the car in May

I like it!
Needs 600 naturally aspirated horsepower to go with the body!

Nice car! Like you, I've always liked the look of wide body Porsche's. The older 911s, and to a lesser extent the 928, had some pretty wild kits installed on them in the 80s. I get a lot of compliments on my wide body 1986 928, but a lot of purists HATE anything being done to the shape of a 928. To each their own; just ignore the haters and enjoy your ("new") car.

I like it also, it looks to be in great condition and nice color combo. I do think the Fuchs wheels do date it some what -would look really good with larger Stroesk type wheels - if you ever want to sell the Fuchs I would be interested in them for my '87 911- are they 16"?

I am looking at replacing the wheels and have been searching for what others with wide body 928's have gone with. Mine are the original 15" wheels from DP Motorsport. I believe 8's and 10's. The rears have an offset of 4.5". Have not had a chance to measure or really look into it any further then that yet.

You two need to get a dialog going and make this happen. Ship it here, I'll break it in proper.

Pretty much been on the road for work the last three weeks and finally getting to some items on the car. Fixed the exhaust leaks, and some other basic items. Ordered some more parts from Roger yesterday and picked up something from Dinsdale (More to come on that later ). The car goes to Sean R. Sunday for fuel lines, plugs, wiring clean up and more.
Still looking for rims and having a hard time. I decided to actually mount some 911 turbo II rims I have sitting in the garage to see what they would look like. What do you guys think? Wish they were 18", there 19". May have to go with these for a while till I complete some of the other higher priority items on the list. Even my dog tried to help out with. Looks like I'll need spacers about a quarter of his nose in length.

Since you asked... I do not like the look of them. Too big for the wheelwell in my opinion. They look out of balance with the rest of the body. However, that is one cool 928!

+1 on the Panamera wheels. I have the 18" five spokes and they fit great! (I have 225/40 and 255/35 Nitto Motivo tires, but you can go a little wider on the rears with no spacers).

Thanks for the feedback. I need 8" or so in the front and 11" in the rear. Current offset on the rears is -38. Pretty much opposite how all rims are configured today with positive offset. Got a lot of space to fill. I don't think the Panamera rims are going to work.

More project work completed. The car spent some more time over at Sean's this week with the goal of removing all of the aftermarket wonders installed by the PO's and eliminate the parasitic battery drain problem.
Next projects scheduled on the calendar include R&R fuel lines, clutch, and some other items.
