The digital clock is NLA from Porsche. So yes they will be getting collectible when you are restoring the older cars. I am keeping mine just for that occasion, when the clock would be worth more than the car.

You could paint the hands the reddish orange of the hands on the speedo/tach and only a person very knowledgable about Porsche 928s (probably everyone on THIS forum) would know the difference.

I actually purchased two of these used from a UK vendor (shipping costs per unit cheaper) a couple of years ago, planning to put one in the '89 S4 track car. BUT - I sold the car before one got installed. Anyone wanting to buy one for $60, including shipping within the US send me a PM. Earliest two PM's who pay are the buyers. I checked for function, and the clocks keep time - at least over a couple of hours.

Cheers, and keep up the replacement of digitals!!
That's a VDO clock. If there's a part number on it we should be able to find a source. Is there a part number?

I hate the digital clock. Mine, of course is dead. Got a cheap digital stop watch stuck over mine with double sided tape so at least I know when to stay out of the HOV lanes.

I'm pretty sure these clocks were never used in cars sold in the USA. Thus - if you want one, the ones I have are probably the cheapest way to get one!!

My digital clock is dead too. I took it apart yesterday and it seems pretty simple. There is a 47uF electrolytic capacitor that I will replace (same ones used in the cruise control board) and I will see what happens. I was looking at the Digi-Key catalog and they might have a seven segment LCD that might work. Also, some of the 84-87? VW's had a digital display and those LCD's might be the exact one we need.
I like the look of the analog clock (factory) better too but other priorities come first. Plus it's fun to fix old things (most of the time).

I'm sad to say I don't know her name. It was from a professional photo shoot a few years ago but I don't know where. I snagged the photo from porsche-mania.com. I think it was the only 928 pic they had (lucky for us).
