Default Restore back spoiler on OB ?

Has anyone attempted to restore the original texture back on a rubber spoiler? The sun/time damage has made the surface rough and more porous. The underside is still smooth like original. The same goes for the door mirrors. Flexible filler? spray on rubber sealer ? Open to solutions or suggestions. Thanks

Plasti-dip would do very well, it's very durable and flexible.

dont bother putting silicone on black plastic parts. It just coating it with shine.
If you can ever get it all off with wax and grease remover or silicone remover or mineral spirits; Wash it with good cleaner like simple green and a scuff pad, Let it dry out a couple days, then paint it with SEM black Bumper Coater.
It will color it all black and seal it and protect against white stains

I just redid my rear spoiler and the two rubber rings on my flag mirrors last week. I got a tube of Dow Corning 111 'valve' grease and worked it into the surface with my finger and let it soak in for two days. I then cleaned/buffed the excess off with paper towels. It came out unbelievabley beautiful. I wish I would have taken before/after pictures for the forum. I think this treatment will last quite awhile but I think I will do it on a yearly basis. The rubber is smooth, clean and much suppler now.

The rough surface is irreversibly damaged rubber so I like to scour/sand it smooth, followed by a good clean and let it dry. Then a thick coat of vaseline , best done with the spoiler in the sun (wrong season for most of you now). Let it soak in a couple of hours and wipe of XS. My cars sit in the sun and this method has worked very well for me.

Vaseline is very cheap but very effective.

OBs don't have spoilers.

Well, that's the pot calling the kettle black.

Glen seems to know what an OB actually is.
