What brand tire do you run.
I currently have Dunlop DZ101's on my car. Not a bad tire but they are due for replacement again. Ive run Continental DWS on several cars and they wear like iron. They don't do as well on the autocross stuff. So my car runs on 17" wheels. What do you Run? Please share!

See if you can get Michelin Super Sports or Yoko AD08R in your sizes.

Have had a bunch. I currently run Michelins x-ice in winter on flat wheels, and Brigestone RE11A in the summer on the Cup Is.
I ran the contis previously on a different car, felt the sidewall was very soft for year round use.

According to Porsche Classic "Recommended Brands and Types of tires" They say to use Bridgestone Potenza S-02 or Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. This is dated 8/2012 so its a few years old. For 16" wheels they ad the Continental ContiSportContact

Currently running Bridgestone Pole Position S-04 on 18 inch turbo twists. 285/35ZR18 rears
235/40ZR18 fronts
Previously ran the Bridgestone RE-11a but since most my driving is cruising the S-04s wear a little better.

We've been through a a couple of sets of the Sumi HTRZ-3's and they are a good value, but since we tried a set of Michelin PS-2's we haven't looked back. The cost is higher but worth it, in our view.
However Michelin has discontinued a lot of P2-2 sizes and is focusing on the Pilot Super Sport, which we've had on the GT for about a year and like then equally well, maybe better.

I pretty much run the cheapest street tires possible.....since it make little difference Tires today are ALL better than what was OEM back 20-30 years ago..
Now track tires are quite another story

I agree with James. The only big issue for me is noise. Currently I have the Conti's on 17" wheels. I like them very much and they do wear like iron which equals value.

My car had fairly new Continentals in the stock size (16") when I got it. I haven't pushed any limits really, but they seem fine.

Tires like milk or yogurt have a best by date and in Europe they are not LEGAL to sell when 6 years old...too dangerous. So if your tires are several years old they are toast !! Sure they might hold air and get you down the road but are but a fraction of what they were when fresh and new !!
Which is also what makes the testimonials to new XYZ tires Vs old ABC tires pretty meaningless as you are comparing old nearly dead tires to new ones.....
