Since the finish appears to be a textured spray paint, It will be easy to touch up when a new bar is added.
It's not a spray paint. We electrostatically powder coat them then bake it to flow the paint out. Good stuff.
Consider that you bought those parts 6 years ago and they've been in and out of the car a few times - they still look good!

Doesn't look at all like my gloss smooth black powder paint. Looks like crinkle paint or something other than powder coat

it comes off like spray paint. it has a texture like spray paint. It is not powder coated. You seem to be strangely disconnected to what actually leaves your shop.

Hi Sterling,
I'm sorry you and others have had such a hard time with Carl's kit. You can't really expect him not to post to a thread he is mentioned in, either positively or negatively. We can all feel the animosity, but you do keep the flames burning, pretty much like Carl does. Personally, I think reasonably civil conversation, such as on this thread, is a good thing. I understand why you find it annoying.
Thanks for sharing all the details and experiences, good, bad and ugly.
