Depami, would you mind sharing your source for the backed foam replacement, under the carpets? That looks fantastic, exactly what I've been searching for!

The foam under-pad is just 1 inch foam that I laminated with vinyl left over from this project:

Shocking!
Used as a verb.
These are the only parts replaced in here.
Reference points to show available adjustment.
This is where they were, as low as possible. No wonder my readings were so low.
This is where I put them. Given it was about an inch low, this should bring it back into spec. 17 turns at 1.5mm per turn equals 25.5.
Hope everything is put back together correctly.
The top hats might be compressed slightly but the rubber is still quite pliable so they got reused.
It's hard to tell, but the shocks felt OK to me and adjustment was effective. Compression didn't seam to change, but extension did. I believe that is how they are supposed to work. There was about two full turns available and I set them 1/2 turn from full stiff.
Room for adjustment both directions.
Cheers,

Assembly Time
How do you guys get your cars so clean? I scrubbed for hours and barely scratched the surface.
Wheel bearings felt good but I opened them anyway and glad I did. They are fine and one was very clean but the other was quite dirty.
What is the trick to upper ball joints? They wanted to spin but I got them. Put together a makeshift clamp to seat the taper and was able to get them tight.
Cheers,

Stainles Braids and Flush
Pretty sure it had DOT3 but put in DOT4.
Old fluid was amber and new is clear so it was easy to see when flush complete.
Used about 1.5 quarts to get clear, bubble free, fluid to each wheel and that is in line with capacity spec.

Old ones probably would have lasted quite a while, but they are cheap enough and now I shouldn't have to worry for a long time.
