Ok I cannot find that coupler and hosetail for the life of me. Googling brings me to PDF links and not an online shop.

Some of the Type 26 connectors will catch on the transmission pan, so you may have to buy a couple of different makes unless you are lucky first time.

If the trick with sliding the hose directly on works with a clamp. I'm probably headed towards that method. I do the transmission fluid swap every two to three years, or at 12.5k whichever comes first. For such an infrequent service, I don't mind the inconveniece of tightening the screw clamp vs a click-on.

I've been using the Sta-Lube hand pump with 5/16" (0.003" less than 8mm...) vinyl hose since it slides over the discharge nozzle of the little push pump. Should be an OK fit on the 7.5mm fitting, but we'll see. If I start needing to shop for hose adapters, I can justify the correct QD fitting.

Roger-- I'm seeing an opportunity here. Most of the suppliers coming up on casual Google search are in GB or EU. Parker lists it in their european catalogs. I didn't search hard enough (beyond top of first page...) to see if it's something that's stocked in Parker's US warehouses.

I never clamp it on. I just push the length of hose as far onto the one-way valve as I can get it and it will stay as long as you don't try to go too fast while pumping the AT fluid.

The first time I ever saw the one way valve used was at Greg Brown's shop as he was topping off the AT in my GTS. Greg uses a pressurized canister and a quick release connection in lieu of just a hose.

I had just picked up the car and wanted to make sure it was good to go prior to venturing out across the desert. I was mind boggled at how easy it was to use the one way valve.

I also use a low pressure HF plastic pump to move the AT fluid from the fluid container through the hoses past the one way valve and into the AT.

I presume when the cover bolt is removed it exposes the quick fit coupling and we need a female quick release couple half to attach to the male fitting. With a hose barb we jury rig something to pump transmission fluid into the assembly.

As you say one of those garden pesticide pumps will probably do the trick quite nicely.

That's it Fred. The cover is a sleeve with hex end, and I used a garden sprayer to pump the trans fluid in, using inspection mirror and a light to monitor level on the (cleaned) reservoir.

This is the coupler I purchased from Esska in Hamburg. It is a DN 7.2 female coupler, and I selected part 27053 with 1/4" tail thread

I just slide a hose on too. No clamp needed. Not much pressure needed to get the fluid in there.

Yep.
I use one of those clear plasticine hoses, and squeegee it on for a nice tight fight. You do need a little pressure behind the fluid to get passed the ball valve.
