i wasnt talking about rotational twisting of the brace, but twisting of the frame so one side is lowering and the other is raising... that would be a moment at the bolt area.

one thing to note, is that if there is bending of the stock bar, wouldnt it becaused by just jacking the car up? thats much more force than can be applied by the car pulling lateral gs, right?
for that purpose alone, its a valued investment, plus it looks great.

Hmmm.... Hood gap adjuster! Nice!

So can the fenders be pulled in 1-2 mm to close the hood to fender gap?

I'm set for crossbars.

Just curious if you kept the slots in the plates. And, if so, what those are for considering the rod is threaded.

Glen,

The tabs in the fenders aren't necessarily square. Depending if you want the brace and tabs to be perpendicular to the centerline of the car, you may need that adjustment. If you look at the factory bar, they are also slotted for that reason.

The spacing between the pairs of bolts on each side will be consistent. The rod-ends and threads will compensate for all other issues.

I finally got around to having a batch of these made. All the structural components are anodized black 6061, and the hardware is stainless. The standard brace is 620mm long, and allows for minor adjustments. If severe preload/adjustment is required for any reason, a narrower 610mm link can be provided.
