I went to the opening of the first Porsche Classic centre here in the UK at Hatfield. For the opening they had a variety of classic Porsches including the four door 928 from the factory. It seems the labour costs are lower and they are improving the classic parts availability. Porsche also runs a internal competition each year which involves the centres restore their own classic Porsches.

Back on topic, our local dealership (which employs our local 928 expert [apprenticed while they were in production]) offers lower labor rates for classics... has done that for years. That makes for a nice combination... expertise at a lower rate!
