Would advise not to post of pics of your keys on the internet. (the head-yes, not the whole key) Gent in Austrailia reproduces our keys from pics. http://www.keys4classics.com/html/Por928.html What's the plan with your beautiful euro ? re: weekend toy, enter in car shows, leave in my garage T

"Okay folks...what is the small gauge within the tach gauge. Miles per gallon or something? Why metric, while all of the others are standard?""
My fuel meter is the same way. I'm guessing they don't change out the tach when the car is federalized to save money (same way they added those trailer lights to the sides of the fenders!) RPM's here is the same as RPM there and anyway you get used to understanding that when the gauge is all the way to the left instead of to the right that's when you grin uncontrollably.

You too, Jim.
Thank you, for the explanations.

Hi again,
Would it please be possible to see some photos of the engine bay?
Thanks

Very nice car!
The keys can be seen in footwell in front of passenger seat.
But the pictograms on window switches seem gone,, somehow surprising at only 18k. I have the same fuel consumption gauge in my tach, only look at it when cruising on the highway.
Enjoy the pleasure of the 16v Euro.

As was noted, pics of the engine will be a good indicator, as would pics of the pedals.
I hate to burst your bubble, but I'd be inclined to believe the car has more miles than that.
Still a very nice car. The "S2" Euros are really fun.
Welcome.
Don't post close up pics of the keys. That was a joke. He does that from time to time.
High resolution pics can be used to make duplicate keys. And steal the car.

Most Euro cars were not as heavily optiond from the factory as yours. Maybe the better way to say it is that a lot of things that were options in Europe were "standard options" on US-spec cars.
Love the leather pod cover that looks like it was just fitted. The [lack of] 'patina' on the seats is great too. Looks like a lot of careful storage has really paid off on this one. Congrats and job well done!
OBTW, your first post is a stellar example of what first posts need to look like here-- Description of the car and some history, including PICTURES. Welcome to the group!

Instead of using "miles per gallon", the Europeans (and Canadians, I believe) use "liters per 100 kilometers" as their unit of measure for fuel economy.
I love the all leather interiors (I had that on my 84), but they usually do not hold up well over time. You should address that issue on the driver's side defroster vent now, before it continues to get worse. That appears to be about the only flaw in the interior.
Welcome to the Forum. That's a super nice car..!
