Just put deposit on a 89' 928 S4
So I decided to bite the bullet and put a deposit down on a manual 1989 928 s4 with 75k miles. The car seems like it's in mint condition from the pictures but I will have to make the final decision when I pick up the car. I want you guys to tell me what you think a fair price is for the car and then I will disclose agreed upon price. Car is all original.

Without knowing history I can't really estimate and there aren't a lot of pics, none of engine; I am amazed by ads (eBay) that have no engine. By asking us after the sale you really take us out of the equation. You have established the worth of this car.
From what I see: $10K to 20K.
I assume the belt and water pump are not original, but you say everything else is.
I would be looking at the oil and P/S lines. Don't look at fuel lines, just change them.

Nice looking. Great that it is a manual! Any pictures of the engine bay? Service records?

There are actually way too many pictures in the ad to upload here one by one so here is the eBay ad http://m.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-928-S4...268?nav=SEARCH

It LOOKS really nice, but...
A few things stand out that lead me to believe it has been wrecked, but overall it looks good.
Obviously that is not 75k mile paint overall, the front bumper looks perfect, which is another red flag, ever seen an original black bumper that is absent of any waves?
Look closely at the fender edges in the open hood pic, one side does not match the other, the driver side fender has been replaced.
The cross brace is bowed also.
Not a 28k car.
