Lots of hype, and no mention of service history.
And stop posting these local finds on an Amercian website...with our low dollar, the yanks can pick this up for nothing!

Interesting how the description narrative states: "... Touching 156 in fifth, we shut down before the CHP could shut us down." -with a 4-speed automatic! Nice custom job of cramming 5 gears where 4 once lived.

So for $9000 usd for an '88 S4 with ~120,000 miles (if it is working), nice interior and ok engine bay. Not a bad deal. However, I agree with johnu, why would you use 1500 characters to describe the car but no mention of the car's own history. Maybe it had none....

I saw it this morning as well. The car might be great, but when I see an ad that is so full of hyperbole and so scarce on stuff that actually matters (like maintenance history) I tend to look away. If the car was kept up to some degree that is a pretty good price, though I get the feeling that it probably isn't the case.

As Adam has already observed...no jump post cap...you know the maintenance file MUST be pretty slim!

Just had a look at the pics on a bigger screen. Does the Passenger side door frame look quite rusty?

I think its just dirt. If you can't clean a car or vacuum the floor mats for pics I usually walk away. Its a sign of a shady dealer IMO.

I clearly spend too much time on Kijiji.

Ya, except they don't describe the real experience...like being elbows deep in an intake manifold cleaning out sand because you saw a new thread on destroyed engines...or buying four bits of plastic for $100 each cause you saw a thread on someone pulling an engine because of damage due to cam chain tensioners.
Now that is THE experience that no sane person wants to buy!

Classic copy and paste description. Car looks ok but I see a lot of deferred maintenance.
