Default Looking for original head unit

Im looking for either a Blaupunkt Bamberg SQR 82 or Blaupunkt Reno to return my 86 to original factory look. Seems like a couple of years ago you could pick these up anywhere but I'm having trouble locating one. Anyone have a nice one of either of these models for sale ? or tips on where i can buy one ?

thanks in advance

Correct factory radios are bringing big money. I just sold a Reno for $750 on eBay and a non functioning cr1 for $450. I do have some period correct blaupuncts for cheap but they are not Porsche installed units

I've got a Reno in a car as a loaner, while I have the one from the car repaired.

Other than that, I've got....early radios only.

On the subject of old head units: does anyone have a source for getting codes?

I have a customer with a CD-2 and no code.

I talked with Steffan at SW Stereo a while back and he told me he couldn't do it anymore.

Is the Monterey valuable also?

Greg,

I'm looking for a 78-79 Bamburg or a Bamburg QTS if you have either of those...

I don't know the differences. I know that we just bought two '79s and they both have the original radios in them, but I think they are called a "CR".

Rob Edwards found a guy that can get the codes. I sold/gave him one that we couldn't get the code from and he got the code and it works!

Greg are you saying the one you have out as a loaner is for sale ? If so - any idea what you might want for it ?

Did you try Stefan at Southwest Stereo? His website lists a Dearborn as direct replacement for the Monterrey; modded to have an aux input.

http://www.swstereo.com/stdetail.php?prodID=120

Pricey, though at @$1500.

Alternately, a CDR-210 would match the interior design pretty well and look period correct to most people. Looks like they're trading between $700 and 900 on eBay.
