Dealer recommends Pentosin not ATF for PS.
Working on a RLer's 928, he brought over the belt and fluid to install on his car. The power steering fluid is Pentosin CHF 202 Power Steering Fluid (green). All these years I always heard to use ATF and not PS fluidas it will destroy the rack. So I called the dealer to double check and the parts counter guy insisted that the Pentosin is the approved fluid for Porsche. I asked him twice just be sure.
Was he wrong?

That's what I'm thinking too. But what really great me of was that I asked him twice if he is 100% sure that the Pentosin is the correct one for the 928 and he said without a doubdt YES.
I only used Dextron in the past. WSM says Dextron, so I'm staying with Dextron. That's what was in this rack before too.

Interesting that Vertex also lists it for the 928:

Paragon for most Porsche models 1989-on:

Pentosin PDF only mentions the Cayenne 2006+ for the 202 fluid:

Haters can hate, but I did a flush and fill using this, car still hits 2nd with a chirp while hammering on it, and shifts smooth as silk when being nice, ..
Oh yeah, I use it in the PS also, no hard steering, no growling, and truth be known, my PS system stopped leaking, ...still have New hoses and reservoir in the box, .
