Hi Roger,
Glad to hear you are doing well. Please do not take this lightheartedly (seriously no pun intended). As a former sufferer of this condition I can tell you you may very well suffer another attack. This is serious **** as you are no doubt aware. If you smoke, stop. If you drink, stop. If you eat poorly, stop. If you are over weight, fix it. I don't want to sound all doom and gloom but if the pump stops, you stop. Get a BP monitor and start checking your BP morning, noon and night. Record them all. If you start to feel anything unusual check your BP and record it with a short note of your symptoms/feelings. These can be very helpful to cardiologists in the future. Most of all, no stress. You need to relax and distance yourself from any thing that will cause stress. At least for now. I really am wishing the best for you.
This was one of my readings. It was higher by the time i got to hospital. I think it peaked at 230/125. I'm now on beta blockers, bp meds and mini aspirin every day. I never smoked or drank but was around 20kgs over weight. Since losing the weight and walking daily things have improved markedly.

Glad the doctors have identified the problem Roger. Now you will have to lower the boost and keep your foot more gently on the throttle.

Take care of yourself !

Jeez, step away from the computer for a couple of days and you miss ALL the fun.

Glad you're home, Rog. Take care of yourself, do what the docs say, stop scaring your family. Get better and stay well.

I can come up for some semi-qualified chair time tomorrow if you like? Got nothing on the schedule, and all is quiet in network land for now. Gratis - of course, but the skill level - well, you get what you pay for! muuaaahahahhahhahahaaa!

I had never heard of that condition, so Googled it. Damn, that's scary stuff!! Glad they were able to help you and get you home, Roger. Please make sure you have the very best heart docs in DFW going forward.

You have done so much for us! I suspect most here are like me and would be pleased to return the favors. Please post here if there is anything we can do to reduce your stress and help you. Living nearby and being retired, I'm happy to give you time if you want it.
