Yup. Make up the 3 way jumper and install it. Start the car, and let it run for a minute to get the exh warm. Set meter to most sensitive DC volt scale, usually 200mV, and touch the leads to pins E1 and E2, polarity doesn't matter.
Voltage on scale must be very close to 00.0 with slight fluctuation. If you get any kind of deflection in either direction you have a TC going bad, or a connection problem. Clean the TC connectors first with some deoxit, and test again. If it's the same, test for voltage at the TC connectors with engine running and figure out which one is bad by the low or missing voltage.

First in Class, Preservation Class, plus Honorary Judges Choice winner. Nicely done George and Pam.
Got a call from Concours Chair that they wanted the car in the tent for the awards banquet. Apparently, they chose it for some sort of judges award. No doubt due to the 40th anniversary of the transaxle cars. I was surprised to say the least. What an honor. Good thing I was a able to limp it up the hill.
Will keep you posted.
