I am seriously considering a gloss vinyl wrap on my 928.
If anyone has done this I would like to see pics of the finished job, and any comments or thoughts as to whether it is advisable to do.

I want to wrap my '89 as well. I saw a guy post a picture of one in Europe on FB wrapped in chrome. The one area I was most curious about was the rear bumper lettering but he had the letters filled in before wrapping it. I am thinking of painting the letters black then cutting out the vinyl wrap to expose the letters. The only issue I foresee dealing with would be potential shrinkage after the cuts are made as the material ages causing it to lift off or crack at the corners...

The only downfall of a wrap is when you open anything on the car you will see the original colour. Unless the wrap job is extremely detailed and expensive, the car is usually only wrapped on the outside and makes the job look half finished.

I had mine done almost three years ago by the same company that did James Morrison's in Austin, TX. About 4 -5k cheaper than the high end paint estimates I got.
