Life hack for Center console vent broken pins. 87 auto
Well doing all of the repairs in the broken bits of the console today. And all but one of my pins were broken. Quick fix that I like is, you grind the broken pins off flush on the back of the vent. Then center drill the remaining stub with number 50 drill bit. Then get about 1 inch of 12 gauge solid copper, strip about a quarter of an inch and insert. They are flexible enough to have it help alignment. And they are the perfect size for the grommets on the center vent assembly

Outstanding, that's elegant. Way better than trying to epoxy spare broken pins back on...

Good Idea, just spray them black
Many don't have any at all, I see that 928 international lists 2 types, anyone know what the difference is?
I've also seen ones that look like the "Defrost" position was built to be luminated?

I believe one was for leather consoles and the other was for vinyl/plastic.
