Long time Porsche guy / Rennlister, New 928S owner!
This is the car. Really stoked to get it. Lots of recent mechanical & cosmetic refresh ($20K spent). Got the car for a song. Hope I like it!

Welcome to the 928 ranks. Hopefully, your new passion treats you right and the two of you share many wonderful moments together. All I got with the link was one picture from behind, not sure if there should have been more. What year?
Brian.

These white with black accents "Storm Trooper" cars are cool. Looks good. Just a little odd that the rear seat is damaged like that. This will definitely be a car you tinker with at least as much as you drive it - the average 928 owner accepts and even enjoys this aspect of 928 ownership. Good find and good luck! Enjoy!

I'm not sure GP White is the best color on a 928 but I have never seen one. I hope I like it. I love the clean look of GPW on most P-cars and low maintenance of it (my black GT3 drives me crazy). I wrapped my black 931 white and love it.
This 928 was a bit of a lucky ebay no reserve find/surprise, but the owner is first class, and the car's history is clean. The recent couple of years has been spent refreshing an unmolested car, all the major services. The 5spd sucked me in. Always loved the 928 but would not want an AT. So now I own one!
Plan: See how she goes/handles/slows, fix anything needed. Then 17" Cup 1's, ala GTS, mild window tint, Every day she gallops will be worth it. 4th current P-car so just a fun run here and there. Yes, bound to be a niggle or two, haha.
Cheers! Now I'm in yet another RL forum. Great group of fellow P-car nutz!

I agree with the "Captain"...white was off the table when I first started looking for a 928...but now...they seem to catch my eye.
Anyhow, first thing I would do is get after every rubber hose or seal under the hood. Especially the fuel lines (one along the passenger side exhaust manifold, another beneath the air cleaner housing, fuel rail-to-injector hoses and a couple horse shoe shaped ones at the rear of valley) and the rubber grommets for the injectors themselves. If these fuel hoses are original...they are a disaster waiting in the wings.
Sure, all of the vacuum lines and heater hoses will need attention also...but they are nowhere as crucial as the previously mentioned.
Good luck,
Brian.

Did you drive it from La. to Co. If so, that was a great shake down cruise. Don't see many white, I am starting to like the color combo more and more.

So, does the odometer really show 9400 miles and is that correct? If so, you got something really good to start with.....and yes, even with very low mileage every piece of rubber connected to the fuel delivery system should be replaced ASAP, and with proper pieces, unless already done very recently. You mention $20k in repairs, do you have that infor? It would be good to know what was done...for several reasons...

Yes, I have all the documentation of the $20K spent in the the last two years.
Great tips on the lines/hoses. Will do!
Does anyone sell a kit? I will search RL but is there a short list of BEST 928 parts vendors/specialists? Thx!

I bailed on this car. Recent sudden death in the family, busy time for me now, and I got cold feet about the $$ to maintain it. Thanks for the help!

you probably didn't need to do much with it. Other than just drive it and fix/maintain as you go. I am not one of those guys that thinks that when you buy a shark, you cannot drive it until you put $20K of new parts into it. I'm on #4 now, and only my first did I do that (not $20K, but a fair amount at the time) and I probably didn't need to. Somebody else is now going to get a pretty car that you passed up. Also, sorry for your family loss. Those things certainly do impact time.
