Default Cup I's for the GTS

Just picked up my new to me refinished Cup I wheels. These are genuine Porsche with correct offsets and widths. Fronts 17x7.5 ET 65 and rears 17 x 9 ET 55. These will be going on the GTS. The Panamera wheels will go on the new 88 s4 as the manholes on it are in pretty bad shape.

Many thanks to Kevin in Atlanta for the sale! Tire rack was closing out Continental Extreme Contact DW in proper sizes so got a great deal on tires and was able to pick them up locally at their brand new distribution center here in Atlanta. Dropped them off at Metro Wheels who did refinishing and they mounted and balanced everything.

Kevin also threw in center caps and they were refinished as well! Pretty excited as finding the Cup Is with correct width and offsets has been a chore.

One of the best stock wheels. They did a nice job on the refinishing.

Love the Cup I wheels and I'm a fan of the DW's too!

I got more space in my garage, you have less and I have ownership of a red '90 GT. Seems like a fair swap.

How can you tell if they're genuine? I have them on my car but don't like them and was considering selling them.

Embossed offset numbers next to the valvestems. 7.5 -65 in front, 9-55 in back. The Mille Millia replicas (which is what yours look like from this distance) don't have the numbers.

Porsche wheels have sizes and offsets stamped by the valve stems as shown. Porsche made many offsets but only 928 GTS have 7.5 x 65 and 9 x 55.

There are some on sale now on parts forum for $3500/set without the tires.

Congrats on the acquisition- the refinishing looks superb.

My set are still sat in my garage awaiting some TLC one of these days.

Those look great! Did they do inside the barrels too? I've been thinking of having this done and was guessing $150 a wheel. Does that sound about right? And last question, what color are they/what color should I ask for? I'm like Fred, mine are collecting dust but will go back on when we move back to the States. Europe is hard on rims... or I'm hard on curbs. One of the two...

Thank you
