Default 4.5 vs 4.7

Hi guys,

Quick question. Assuming 1979 4.5 litre and 1982 4.7 litre (both ROW, both K-Jet), apart from pistons (ie bore) what differences are there between the engines ?

For example, are the cranks the same ? Are the fuel injection systems (like say the fuel distributor) the same ? I guess water pumps are identical ?

What's different ?

Thanks in advance !

Higher comp for the 4.7, bigger cams for the 4.7, bigger butterfly and inlet tracks for the 4.7...Hell the 4.7 makes 70 hp more

Cranks are the same. Heads and valves are bigger too. Injection is the same basically but different warm up control pressure regulator..Pretty much everything that restricted airflow was " fixed" for the 300 hp S !
