No, I think that those people running to the scene were looking for the best deals at the Garage Sale

on a day like that, the Ring is a one way, unrestricted toll road.
Regular car insurance pays for all that.

I hope the passengers are OK - I know that the local homes for handicapped kids take their charges round in vans like that for a treat....

A measure of a nation's greatness is the ability of its citizens to avoid xenophobic gloating over the misfortunes of others.

R+C
PS If I sound a bit harsh, I'm sorry - Easter weekend is really really busy and stressful

No, it's not coming off as harsh especially if English is not your first language. It looks like a very bad day for someone though.

I will say though that this looks like one of the spots on the 'ring' where people hang out just to watch other people crash. I am guessing many of those people are German nationals. So they are either laughing at the misfortune of others or at the very least waiting to see something bad happen.

Too bad this looks so bad. I will be there in two months with a new car. Now I'm not so sure!

Peter you know I like you man, but we'll just have to agree on disagreeing on this one.

As long as the admin allows me to moderate this place, and with the exception of something important posted for educational purposes (for example something that raises a new safety issue for our cars) or of course if the original poster is the one involved in it or has permission to post, I won't permit crash vids , accident pics or anything that shows the misfortune of others.

Best,

PS. I will delete the vids and leave the thread open so that you can call me names if you like. : )

I guess unlike most Greeks you add more than you taketh away around here.

There are also important lessons to take away (Actually you took away) from this.

- It's all over the internet.
- The safety issue is stay away from SUV's at the racetrack and leave them in front of the trailer when going to the track. I'm sure I was saving lives there for a bit.
- My new name nickname is Despicable Me. Strange huh?

Some people; Actually everyone around me and mostly my wife say I have no internal braking system; Technically a problem with authority whatever the hell that means and need to be reigned in once in a while. Actually always and constantly..

Do you ever sleep? No wonder you're so cranky.

On that point, I was given a tour of several viewing spots around the ‘ring this past summer, and the tour guide mentioned that some of the most popular spots are where gawkers (locals and foreigners alike) believe they are most likely to see crashes. I made a point to drive those sections conservatively, just to avoid giving anybody a free “show.” I don’t see any “xenophobic” aspect to it at all.

I was there only once. Did 6 laps ans seen 2 crashed. All were ok. One car on its roof.

No one should take the Ring lightly just because it is arrive and drive...
