Default need fair market value on 944S project

I've decided to shelve my 944S project and sell it but since it is a project that is incomplete and is one that is focused upon track performance with lots of goodies installed it is difficult for me to guesstimate a fair price for it. It looks pretty rough but cosmetics are the last thing I was looking to address. The parts alone are worth a bit if purchased separately and the list is long. Most of the highlights:
  • Jenvey 50mm ITB mounted on Michael Mount manifold
  • Microsquirt ignition (starts and runs but needs optimization)
  • CAT cams suited for ITB fuel delivery (not installed)
  • new INA lifters and springs (not installed)
  • 951 oil filter/thermostat housing with Mazda RX-7 oil cooler
  • custom wiring harness
  • AutoMeter gauges
  • Euro OEM bumpers
  • 993 rims; 8x16 & 9x16
  • new Koni yellow shocks
  • 951 lower A-arms with new bushings
  • 968 calipers (rebuilt)
  • new brake discs
  • stainless brake lines
  • balance shafts deleted
  • low mounted alternator
  • manual steering rack
  • no power anything (A/C; cruise; door locks; windows; etc.)
  • Manual crank windows
  • new sport clutch
  • new clutch pedal and slave cylinders
  • new Turbo fuel pump
  • new front windshield
  • Recaro seats
  • GTS headlights with mold to make replacement lenses
  • dual master cylinder brake pedal assembly with balance bar
  • parcel shelf
  • Ozite (Super-flex) carpet, Dynamat Extreme & 1/4" thick Dynaliner with contact cement
  • sunroof replaced with 6061 aluminum sheet, structural epoxy & 100 structural rivets used for installation

Faded love

Rear mounted battery

Heater box mounted in original HVAC console

Minimal gauge cluster

ITBs, brake pedal assembly, balance shaft delete provides great engine bay access

I would say $5k ish, most of the value is in the motor and the gauges/brakes/rims

Sold my 84 track car for $6,000. Had accusump, external oil cooler, window net, full roll cage, Recaro seats with 5 point harness, fire extgushier, adjustable Konis, Kumo V710 rubber, with strut bar and adjustable camber plates, chipped ECU, most all suspension bushings were derlin, front lowered springs and all suspension (ball joints, tie rod ends, and fully manual rack were replaced. HAWK pads and new bearings (all around) calipers rebuilt. and of course, battery cut off switch. That was used once.

You've got some very desirable parts on this car Paul. I can imagine you would get lots of interest in just the ITB set-up. It's likely worth more if you part it out, but I agree with you, that would be sad day. Unfortunately, I think it's only worth what you can get for it. If you find the right person, it's a great foundation for a track car build. Good luck with the sale!
