Default Rain Rain go away

1984 944
After rain, water accumulates in the passenger back seat footwell and only in that area. There is not other area that is wet - not window, front seat footwell, hatch area, hatch carpet, door seal - I have felt around every where. I cleared the drainage holes on the back wing. I suspect there must be a drain issue somewhere for the water intrusion. There is not drainage from the roof seals around the moon roof (or whatever it is called).

Can it come up from the body somehow from below?

Check your battery tray. Leaking batteries can cause holes in the metal. Check the seam between the bottom of the tray and the firewall (the tray is only spot welded in, and seam sealer that Porsche used has dried out and contracted by now.) Also check that the hood covering the heater blower motor is completely sealed with that black goop; if there is a gap in the goop, any water coming down off the windshield can enter there.

Some ideas: hatch seal, rear side window seal, door seal, rusted floor pan, rusted rocker panel..

I would check the sunroof seal around the back corners and the hatch seal near the top corners. It's also possible your rear glass has started to delainnate and it's getting in between the glass and the frame.

Easiest way to find it will be to put someone in the car, close it up and spray around with a hose.

I had this same problem. It was the passenger rain gutter seal. Have a look here

Check if these fit the 1984 car Seals (2ea) 944 559 707 00 and Clips (12ea) 999 591 732 02

There is no such seal on an 84 but there is still a spot welded seam covered by the roof trim.
Also check the fuel fill area for a perished drain boot and / or clogged, separated or broken tubing / fittings.

Also check the drain holes for the doors. They are the curved sections located along the bottom channel for the door seal. Water can pool inside the door and overflow under the moisture barrier/door panel and then collect in the rear footwell or around the emergency brake handle.
